I live in Chicago. I write about music, mostly hip-hop but also R&B and dance music, some jazz and a variety of other things as well. I’ve written for NPR, the Chicago Tribune, Pitchfork, Complex, Vibe Magazine, the Village Voice, hiphop.com, and the Baltimore City Paper. I DJ a few local loft parties, bars & clubs here in the city on a semi-regular basis. I also like running.

I agree that the url for this site is kind of pompous sounding, but what are you gonna do? Its hard to find a good url these days.
